NGC 6871是天鵝座中一個小且年輕的疏散星團。該星團的成員不到50顆恆星，其中大多數是藍白色的恆星。它距離地球5,135光年。
NGC 6871至少與其它6個疏散星團誕生在同一個巨分子雲中。它與其它這些疏散星團間沒有引力聯繫，但NGC 6871本身似乎已在瓦解[5]。
