菌尿症（英語：bacteriuria）是指尿中存在細菌[1]。有症狀的菌尿症是泌尿道感染，無症狀的菌尿症稱為無症狀菌尿症[1] [2]。由尿液分析或尿液培養的結果診斷[3]。最常見的細菌是大腸桿菌[1]。無症狀者通常不應接受檢驗[3]。鑑別診斷包括檢體受到污染而產生偽陽性[1]。
若有症狀，通常以抗生素治療[3]。無症狀菌尿症通常不需治療[4]。包括精神錯亂的老年人[8]。但例外的情況包括：孕婦、近期接受腎臟移植的患者、有嚴重膀胱輸尿管返流的兒童以及接受泌尿系統手術的患者[3] [4]。
健康的中年女性中約3%會出現無症狀菌尿症[5]。養老院中，女性的發生率約50%，而男性為40%[5]。長期留置導尿管的患者中發生率為 100%[5]。每年有近10%的女性罹患泌尿道感染，而約有一半的女性，一生中至少患過一次泌尿道感染[6] [7]。
