1974年 阿拉伯伊斯蘭共和國國旗 紅-白-黑水平三色旗，白色條紋中央為紅色新月和五角星。
1977年至2011年 阿拉伯利比亞人民社會主義民眾國國旗 → 大阿拉伯利比亞人民社會主義民眾國國旗 綠色底色，象徵伊斯蘭信仰和國家農業（英語：Agriculture in Libya）。[17]
