WASP-121b是一颗环绕恒星WASP-121的太阳系外行星[4][6],亦是首颗发现平流层(大气层中温度随高度上升的气层)以及大气当中含有水分的系外行星[4][6]。WASP-121b在天球上位于船尾座[1],距离地球约880光年[3][4]。

WASP-121b是质量为木星1.18倍的热木星,半径则为木星的1.81倍[5][4],它环绕母恒星WASP-121的轨道周期为1.27日[5][4]。WASP-121b的大气层至少由三层组成,上层由氢组成,中层含钠,下层含铁[7],并存在铬、钒、钙、钡和钛等离子[8][9][10]。
