侦探

侦探（英语：Detective）作为动词时，指的是侦缉、探查某件事，也可指负责调查案件的职业或工作。侦探可以是专职职业^[1]，也可以是刑警或检察官兼任的工作；后者则是专门负责调查及侦破刑事案件的公职^[2]。在文学中，有很多以侦探为主角的小说，历史亦很悠久，称为推理小说。
