侦探

侦探（英語：Detective）作為動詞時，指的是偵緝、探查某件事，也可指負責调查案件的職業或工作。偵探可以是專職職業^[1]，也可以是刑警或檢察官兼任的工作；後者則是專門負責调查及侦破刑事案件的公職^[2]。在文学中，有很多以侦探为主角的小说，历史亦很悠久，称为推理小說。
