陛下之79號潛艦（德語：SM U 79[註 1]）是德意志帝國海軍建造的UE-I型潛艦或稱U艇的九號艇。它由漢堡的伏爾鏗船廠承建，於1916年4月9日下水，至同年5月25日交付使用（英語：Ship commissioning）。U-79號是在第一次世界大戰期間服役的329艘德國潛艦之一，曾參加過大西洋潛艦戰。在其九次巡邏中，共擊沉協約國或中立國的19艘商船（33678總噸）、1艘軍艦（14300噸）和3艘輔助軍艦（801總噸）。戰後，該艇於1918年11月21日移交法國正式投降，並以維克托·雷韋耶號（法語：Victor Réveille）之名在法國海軍服役，直至1936年拆解報廢。

設計[編輯]

U-79號是德意志帝國海軍潛艦局（U-Boot-Inspektion）於1914年底開發的UE級布雷潛艦（UE-I型）的九號艇，這是官方設計的第45號方案，計劃具有更長的續航里程以及較短的工期。[12]

U-79號為單殼體（德語：Einhüllenboot）遠洋潛艦，配有鞍形水櫃（英語：Saddle tank (submarine)）。其全長為56.80公尺；舷寬5.90公尺，當中的耐壓殼體（英語：Pressure hull）寬為5公尺；有4.86公尺的吃水深度。其水上排水量為755噸，水下為832噸。[13]艇只搭載有可在水上使用的兩台奔馳六缸四衝程（S6 Ln型）柴油發動機，總功率為900匹公制馬力（662千瓦特）；以及可在水下使用的西門子-舒克特（英語：Siemens-Schuckert）雙電動發電機，總功率同樣為900匹公制馬力（662千瓦特）。與其他遠洋潛艦相比，它的機動性能較弱。這些發動機用以驅動雙軸、每根軸各一個直徑為1.41公尺的螺旋槳，從而使艇只在水上的最高速度達9.9節（18.3公里每小時），在水下的最高航速則為7.9節（14.6公里每小時）。艇只可以7節（13公里每小時）的速度在水上巡航7,880海里（14,590公里），或以4節（7.4公里每小時）的速度在水下巡航83海里（154公里）。它的潛航深度為50公尺。[2]

U-79號的主要任務是布雷，艙內最多可搭載38枚水雷，它們是通過艇艉的兩條彈射井道向後布設。因此，這不是一款用於發動魚雷攻擊的潛艦。然而，U-79號仍在左舷艏部和右舷艉部分別裝備了一具魚雷發射管用於自衛，並可攜帶合共4枚魚雷。兩具管道都位於耐壓殼體外側，因此只有在潛艦浮出水面時才能進行操縱和裝填。此外，該艇在司令塔後方的艉部甲板上還裝備有一門88公釐30倍徑速射炮（英語：8.8 cm SK L/30 naval gun）用於水面作戰，自1918年起又替換為威力更大的105公釐45倍徑速射炮（英語：10.5 cm SK L/45 naval gun）。其標準船員編制為4名軍官及28名水兵。[2]

U-79號是由德意志帝國海軍作為E項戰時訂單（Kriegsauftrag E）於1915年3月9日向漢堡的伏爾鏗船廠訂購，建造編號為61。艇只於1916年4月9日下水，至同年5月25日在首任艇長、海軍上尉海因里希·耶斯的指揮下正式交付使用（英語：Ship commissioning）。[3]在耶斯之後，奧托·羅爾貝克上尉（1917年2月21日－10月26日）[4]、奧托·德勒舍爾上尉（兼任，1917年10月27日－11月23日）[5]、卡爾·圖雷中尉（1917年11月24日－1918年4月15日）[6]、魯道夫·岑特納中尉（1918年4月16日－8月17日）[7]、馬丁·霍夫曼中尉（1918年8月18日－26日）[8]、魯道夫·哈根少尉（1918年8月27日－9月15日）[9]、沃爾德馬爾·佩特里上尉（1918年9月16日－10月14日）和庫爾特·斯萊福格特（德語：Kurt Slevogt）中尉（1918年10月15日－11月11日）也曾擔任過U-79號艇長。[10][11]自1916年7月下旬起，U-79號被編入北海的第一潛艦區艦隊服役，並一直隸屬於該部隊直至戰爭結束。[14]

第一次世界大戰期間，U-79號在北海和北大西洋東部完成了九次巡邏，最遠曾抵達葡萄牙沿岸。[15]期間共擊沉協約國或中立國的19艘商船（33678總噸）、1艘軍艦（14300噸）和3艘輔助軍艦（801總噸）。[16]其中，排水量達14300噸的英國裝甲巡洋艦德雷克號（英語：HMS Drake (1901)）是噸位最大的受害者，它於1917年10月2日在愛爾蘭北部的拉斯林島附近被U-79號發射魚雷擊沉，造成18名官兵陣亡。[17][18]由U-79號致沉的最大型民用船舶則是容積約5000總噸的參贊號（Counsellor）。這艘英國貨輪是從舊金山前往利物浦的途中，於1916年9月14日在愛爾蘭南岸附近撞上了U-79號布設的一枚水雷而沉沒。[19]容積逾6000總噸的英國貨輪卡米托號（Camito）甚至更大，但它於1917年8月13日觸碰U-79號布設的水雷時僅僅受損。[20]

U-79號在戰爭中倖存了下來，沒有被擊沉。戰後，根據對德停戰協議的要求，該艇於1918年11月21日作為戰利品移交法國。[21]自1922年6月1日起，它被重命名為維克托·雷韋耶號，並投入法國海軍服役。1923年11月23日，維克托·雷韋耶號在加來海峽的布洛涅附近擱淺，但能夠重新浮起、修復，並重新投入使用。[22]該艇於1930年被降編至預備役，至1935年7月27日正式從海軍序列（英語：Navy Directory）中除籍，後於1936年8月6日以70642法郎的價格售予布雷斯特的拆船商拆解報廢。[23][24]
