唐納·川普的簽名

2016年6月18日，在內華達州天堂市舉行的唐納·川普2016年美國總統競選集會上，20歲的英國公民麥可·史蒂文·桑福德（Michael Steven Sandford）試圖搶奪負責活動安保的拉斯維加斯大都會警察（英語：Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department）的配槍[2]。桑福德未能得逞並被逮捕，他聲稱自己希望將川普殺害，以阻止他當選美國總統[3]。
