瑪莎·威爾斯（生於1964年9月1日）[1]是一位美國推想小說作家。她創作了多部科幻與奇幻小說、青少年小說、媒體衍生作品、短篇小說及科幻奇幻主題的非虛構散文，作品已被翻譯為12種語言[2]。威爾斯以構建複雜且細節翔實的社會體系著稱，人們常將這種能力歸因於她的人類學學術背景[3][4]。

威爾斯早年參加布魯斯·斯特林主持的土耳其城作家研討會等寫作工坊[8]，後於ArmadilloCon、世界科幻大會、ApolloCon等處教授寫作課程[9]，2018年擔任FenCon特邀工坊嘉賓[10]。

其處女作《火元素》（1993年）入圍當年康普頓·克魯克獎，獲1994年克勞福德獎亞軍。第二部小說《骨城》（1995年）獲《出版人周刊》星標推薦與《科克斯書評》黑鑽評價，入選1995年《軌跡》雜誌奇幻推薦書單。第三部小說《死靈法師之死》（1998年）提名星雲獎[11]。後續在伊爾-里恩世界觀下創作了《伊爾-里恩陷落》三部曲（2003-2005）。2006年修訂再版《火元素》[12]。
