卡爾赫芬尼茲
卡爾赫芬尼茲（威爾斯語：Calchfynydd，「calch」意為「石灰」，「mynydd」意為「山」）是一個模糊不清的布立吞人的王國或附屬王國，存在於後羅馬不列顛時期。其確切位置尚不明確，幾乎沒有確鑿的資料記載。含有石灰岩或白堊的山丘可能指的是科茨沃爾德丘陵，[1]或是奇爾特恩丘陵[2]。
這一名稱保存在「卡德勞德·卡爾赫芬尼茲」（Cadrawd Calchfynydd）的稱號中，據稱他是6世紀該地區的統治者。威爾斯文獻稱卡德勞德為「北方之人」之一，暗示該地區位於大不列顛島北部的某處。威廉·福布斯·斯基恩曾提出將其與蘇格蘭邊區的凱爾索（舊稱「卡爾喬」）相關，雷切爾·布羅姆維奇也認為其位於亨奧格萊茲某地是最有可能的[3]。阿利斯泰爾·莫法特在其關於凱爾索的歷史著作中支持這一觀點，引用了早期「查爾喬」的記載，以及該地的白堊地貌與查爾克休台地[4]。約翰·莫里斯則將其位置設定在雷格德的烏里恩領地以南，即「特倫特河與泰晤士河之間」[5][6]。基於伊奧洛·摩根烏格的偽作，托馬斯·巴恩斯牧師曾推測卡爾赫芬尼茲的位置在鄧斯特布爾一帶[7]，然而早於伊奧洛時代的文獻，尤其是亨利·羅蘭茲的《安格爾西島古代遺蹟復原》一書，提到「卡德羅德·卡爾赫芬尼茲」（Cadrod Calchfynydd）曾在後羅馬時代被稱作鄧斯特布爾的伯爵（一個極具時代錯誤的稱謂），從而與鄧斯特布爾有所關聯[8]。羅伯特·歐文則將該王國置於科茨沃爾德丘陵之間[1]。
