倫敦書評（英文：London Review of Books）是英國的一份文學雜誌，每月出版兩期，主要刊登關於小說與非小說類作品的文章和評論，通常以書評的形式呈現。雜誌總部位於倫敦布盧姆斯伯里。 [2]
歷史
[編輯]《倫敦書評》創刊於1979年，[2]當時由於《泰晤士報》因長達一年的停刊而暫停出版《泰晤士報文學增刊》。[3]其創始編輯包括時任倫敦大學學院英語教授卡爾·米勒、前《泰晤士報文學增刊》編輯瑪麗·凱·威爾默斯，以及前《喬納森·凱普》編輯蘇珊娜·克拉普。在創刊的前六個月里，該刊作為《紐約書評》的附頁出版。 [4]1980年5月，《倫敦書評》正式成為獨立出版物。其政治立場被著名撰稿人艾倫·貝內特形容為「始終激進」。 [5]
與《泰晤士報文學增刊》不同，《倫敦書評》的大部分文章（通常每期約15篇）都是長篇論述。部分文章並非基於書籍，而是圍繞電影或展覽展開討論。此外，政治和社會議題也是該刊的重要內容。[2]
威爾默斯於1992年出任主編並擔任該職近30年。[6]2021年吉恩·麥克尼科爾（Jean McNicol）和艾麗斯·斯波爾斯（Alice Spawls）接任主編。[6]截至2023年1月至12月《倫敦書評》平均每期發行量達74,743份。 [7]
2010年1月，《泰晤士報》報道稱《倫敦書評》欠威爾默斯家族信託2700萬英鎊，儘管該信託「暫無意在短期內要求償還貸款」。 [8]
《倫敦書評》書店於2003年5月在布盧姆斯伯里開業，隔壁的蛋糕店則於2007年11月開業。該書店還被用作作家演講和討論的場所。 [3]
2011年，當潘卡吉·米什拉在《倫敦書評》上批評尼爾·弗格森的《文明：西方與其他國家》一書時，弗格森威脅要以誹謗罪起訴。 [9] [10]
2023年，以色列希伯來作家協會公開發表了一封抗議信，回應《倫敦書評》刊登的支持加沙的信，並呼籲全球作家和藝術家支持釋放被綁架者。 [11]
2024年1月，《時間的障礙：值得重新考慮的思考》（A Hitch in Time: Reflections Ready for Reconsideration）出版，這是克里斯多福·希欽斯在1983年至2002年間為《倫敦書評》撰寫的選集。 [12]
