PolyBuzz (formerly known as Poly.AI) is a chatbot application developed by Cloud Whale Interactive Technology LLC. It offers personalized conversations and immersive role-playing experiences. Utilizing advanced technology, the app enables chatbots to think and respond like humans, featuring realistic voices. The mobile app was launched in the Apple Store and Google Play Store in May 2023, with the web version set to be publicly available in September 2024.

PolyBuzz allows users to create their own characters for free using the mobile app or web platform. Characters can be set to private or public status, with public characters undergoing a strict review process before being published for others to chat with. During creation, users can customize the character's appearance, voice, tags, and background story.
Characters created by users can be based on those from anime, games, or real-life celebrities, or they can be entirely new virtual characters imagined by the users. Some characters may be designed to enhance efficiency or add fun, serving as writing assistants, translation helpers, MBTI test bots, or text-based adventure games.
Chatting with Characters
According to official information, PolyBuzz offers over 10 million characters for users to chat with. The chatting is free, private, and unlimited, with no sensitive word filter, which is a significant attraction.
To inspire users'chat creativity, PolyBuzz features a Mod function allowing users to create Mods for any of their favorite characters and enter a whole new story with them. Additionally, the inspiration reply feature greatly enhances the user experience when chatting with AI.
Image Generation
During character creation, PolyBuzz supports using AI image generation to craft character designs. Users can input prompts to customize the generated images, with a variety of styles available such as magic, otome, manga, photography, Korean manga, and figurines.
Additionally, PolyBuzz's web platform features a dedicated image generation module that is both professional and easy to use. In November 2024, Poly.AI underwent a comprehensive rebranding, officially becoming PolyBuzz.

Software Technology
[編輯]Initially, PolyBuzz (formerly known as Poly.AI) used PHP to develop its core backend functionalities, but by November 2023, all capabilities were rewritten in Golang to improve performance, enhance community engagement, and leverage a richer set of libraries. To facilitate product expansion, starting in December 2023, PolyBuzz transitioned from a monolithic structure to a distributed microservices architecture. This restructuring aimed at decomposing processes into microservices that independently deliver business value, not merely for the sake of microservices, but to align with and meet customer value effectively.
By May 2024, the architecture upgrade was largely complete, providing solid support for diversified product development. In the same month, PolyBuzz launched a Web platform, allowing users to access the service without installing an app, offering a larger interface and a convenient delivery method.
In early 2023, PolyBuzz's content was divided between native components and H5 pages, the latter primarily composed of static HTML code, which was challenging to maintain. By January 2024, the technical team designed a new user interface optimized for mobile devices, with a new framework and color scheme, implementing a series of improvements.
As a product serving a global user base, the PolyBuzz technical team is focused on optimizing the network experience for users in different regions, such as by building a global acceleration network that allows users to connect to the nearest access point, avoiding public network congestion.
Since its inception, the PolyBuzz technical team has been dedicated to enhancing the communication experience for users, continuously optimizing in areas like text and audio corpus annotation, voice interaction training, and model refinement, ensuring noticeable improvements with each update.
