Mozilla VPN是由Mozilla開發的開源虛擬私人網路瀏覽器擴充功能、應用程序和流動應用程式，原名Firefox Private Network。[4]2019年9月10日，Firefox Private Network[5]測試版推出。2020年6月18日，Firefox Private Network更名為「Mozilla VPN」。[6][7] 2020年7月15日，Mozilla VPN正式版推出。[6]

2020年8月，網絡安全公司Cure53發現了Mozilla VPN中有多個漏洞。:22021年3月，Cure53再度發現兩個中危漏洞和一個高危漏洞。[8][9]

功能

Mozilla VPN可以隱藏用戶的真實IP地址，並對用戶的所有網絡活動進行加密。[10][11][12]Mozilla VPN的Firefox瀏覽器擴展有免費版，IOS和Android以及Microsoft Windows、MacOS和Linux上的Mozilla VPN應用程序則需要用戶付費才能使用。[4][13]付費版使用的是瑞典Mullvad VPN的服務，該服務使用WireGuard VPN標準，[11]而免費版使用美國Cloudflare的服務。[14][15][16]
