苏珊娜·“苏西”·凯瑟琳·萝丝·梅德曼特(英语:Susannah "Susie" Catherine Rose Maidment)是伦敦自然史博物馆的英国古生物学家[1]。她也是伯明罕大学的荣誉教授。她对于鸟臀目恐龙演化的研究获得国际认可,并荣获2016年古生物学协会霍德森奖(Hodson Award)[2]及2017年伦敦地质学会莱尔基金(Lyell Fund)[3][4]。她被选为2019年国家地理影响力女性[5]。
生平
[编辑]梅德曼特在伦敦帝国学院攻读地质学,于2003年取得硕士学位。她于2007年完成剑桥大学的博士学位,研究剑龙亚目的系统学[1][4][6]。她的研究由大卫·B·诺曼和保罗·厄普乔奇(Paul Upchurch)指导[7]。在越南担任勘探地质学家之后[1],她于2009年前往伦敦自然史博物馆与保罗·巴雷特合作,担任博士后研究员,共同研究由NERC资助的鸟臀目恐龙运动研究专案[8][9][10]

研究工作
