2024年4月，丹尼·菲利普与迈克尔·菲利普（英语：RackaRacka）宣布正在制作一部原创恐怖电影《回应我》的后续电影。该片将由莎莉·霍金斯主演，Causeway Films的萨曼莎·詹宁斯（Samantha Jennings）和克里斯蒂娜·赛顿（Kristina Ceyton）共同制片，A24负责全球发行[5]。菲利普兄弟最初计划于2023年执导一部改编自《街头霸王》系列的电影，但后来选择退出，专注制作受心理恐怖主题启发的电影《满血复活》（Bring Her Back）[6][7]。剧本由丹尼和比尔·辛茨（Bill Hinzman）共同撰写[8]。5月，比利·巴拉特（英语：Billy Barratt）、乔纳·沃伦·菲利普斯（Jonah Wren Phillips）、莎莉-安妮·厄普顿（Sally-Anne Upton）、史蒂芬·菲利普斯（Stephen Phillips）和索拉·王（Sora Wong）参与演出[9]。索拉在接受《时人》采访时透露，她“完全没有演戏经验”，参演缘由是她的母亲在Facebook上看到试镜消息后报名的[10]。
