乔治·弗雷德里克“巴兹”伯林（George Frederick "Buzz"Beurling，DSO，DFC（英语：Distinguished Flying Cross (United Kingdom)），1921年12月6日 - 1948年5月20日）是第二次世界大战中加拿大最成功的战斗机飞行员以及空战王牌飞行员。

伯林被誉为“二战中加拿大最著名的英雄”、“马耳他之鹰”和“马耳他骑士”[1]。他被认为在被围困的地中海岛屿马耳他上空，仅用了14天时间就击落了27架轴心国飞机。在战争结束前，他的官方总击坠数攀升至31[2]或311⁄3架[3]。伯林在战争结束前因缺乏团队合作精神以及多次进行特技飞行而被终止了战时服役。为了在战后能继续战斗飞行，伯林在试图向以色列运送飞机时坠机身亡[4]。

早期生涯

乔治·伯林1921年生于加拿大魁北克省凡尔登（现为蒙特利尔的一部分）一个宗教家庭，是家里五个孩子中的第三个[5]。他的父亲弗雷德里克·古斯塔夫·伯林（Frederick Gustav Beurling）是瑞典人，曾在克劳德霓虹公司（Claude Neon Company）担任商业艺术家。他的母亲海蒂·弗洛伦斯·吉布斯（Hetty Florence Gibbs）是英国后裔，出生于蒙特利尔郊外的圣查尔斯角（Pointe-Saint-Charles）[5]。

乔治·伯林在6岁时开始对飞行产生兴趣，当时他的父亲为他制作了一架模型飞机。他的父母希望他进入麦吉尔大学学习，并像他父亲一样成为一名成功的商业艺术家[6]。然而，乔治在15岁时辍学，开始工作以增加收入[6]。一年后，他已经积累了150小时的飞行经验，并通过了商业飞行员执照的所有考试。

为了增加飞行经验，他决定前往中国，希望通过穿越美国边境加入中国国民党的空军[7]。他原本计划前往旧金山，在中国工作一段时间后再签约。然而，他最终在边境被当作移民逮捕并被遣返回国。1933年，他首次操控飞机，到1938年已经能够独立飞行。他离开学校后，在安大略省格雷文赫斯特的一家航空货运公司工作，并很快获得了商业飞行执照。1940年9月，伯林加入了英国皇家空军。
