The official name is Lleida (which is Catalan) and not Lérida (which is the Spanish name). I have changed it in the article, but I suspect the title still may be a transliteration of the Spanish Lérida. If so, it has to be changed to a transliteration of the Catalan Lleida.--Ssola（留言） 2013年5月18日 (六) 17:14 (UTC)

You are right. The current title "莱里达"(Hanyu pinyin: Lailida) is the translated term of the Spanish name "Lérida ". The title will be "列伊达"(Hanyu pinyin: Lieyida) in Chinese if the Catalan name is used. Another sample is the Georgia。The Translated term for it in Chinese is "格鲁吉亚"(Hanyu pinyin: Gelujiya), Which is from the Russian name "Гру́зия"(Gruziya), not from the Georgian name "ქართველები"(Kartvelebi)。--Tianyamm2（留言） 2013年5月19日 (日) 10:02 (UTC)

Ssola, sé molt bé que després del franquisme van canviar els noms castellans pels noms regionals i que es fa servir aquesta oficialitat per justificar canviaments. Però no té cap sentit portar la polèmica a la Viquipèdia castellana aquí. Als anys cinquanta, l'agència de notícies Xinhua va fer un gran esforç per unificar les transcripcions, perquè tots els diaris utilitzessin els mateixos caràcters per a noms estrangers. Això va ser un procés important per evitar confusions i tenir coherència. Tothom hauria de saber de què es parla quan llegeix un nom transcrit. Per als topònims d’Espanya, van decidir fer servir els noms tradicionals en castellà. Se’ls pot consultar al banc de dades a la web de Xinhua, que inclou inclús pobles petits catalans.
