韓孝榮（1963年12月25日—），安徽人，筆名知寒、韓知寒，現任香港理工大學中國歷史及文化學系教授、系主任，香港理工大學孔子學院前任院長。主要研究方向側重在近現代中國與越南的關係、中國知識分子與農民的關係、國家與少數民族的關係、海外華僑華人、中國與鄰近地區的交往史。

生平

出生於安徽省，並在此長大。韓孝榮教授先後受教于廈門大學歷史系、中國社會科學院研究生院、杜蘭大學人類學系和夏威夷大學馬諾阿分校歷史系。在加入香港理工大學之前，曾先後擔任中國社會科學院民族研究所助理研究員、夏威夷大學西瓦胡分校人文分部助理教授、美國康涅狄格州三一學院歷史系訪問助理教授、新加坡國立大學歷史系助理教授、美國印第安納州巴特勒大學歷史與人類學系副教授以及嶺南大學（香港）歷史系教授、系主任。韓孝榮教授同時也擔任多家國際學術期刊、叢書的編委，包括：China & Asia: A Journal in Historical Studies 創刊主編及聯合主編、《科技與文化》編委會主席、Rethinking Socialism and Reform in China series 編委、Global Vietnam book series 編委、《新亞學報》編委等。
