大衛·J·霍洛威（英語：David J. Holloway，1943年—）是一位愛爾蘭、美國歷史學家與政治學者，專長於核武歷史、蘇聯科技與安全政策、以及國際關係理論與歷史研究。現為史丹佛大學歷史系教授、政治學教授，並擔任雷蒙・斯普魯恩斯國際歷史講座教授（Raymond A. Spruance Professor of International History），兼任史丹佛大學國際政策研究所（FSI）資深研究員。

略歷

霍洛威出生於愛爾蘭都柏林，於劍橋大學取得現代語言與文學學士學位，並獲社會與政治科學博士學位。他曾於蘭卡斯特大學（1967年－1970年）與愛丁堡大學（1970年－1986年）任教，1986年起加入史丹佛大學，最初任政治學系教授，1996年起亦兼任歷史系職務。

在史丹佛期間，他曾擔任國際關係學程主任與共同主任（1989年－1991年）、人文與科學學院副院長（1997年－1998年），1991年至1997年間為國際安全與合作中心（CISAC）共同主任，1998年至2003年擔任史丹佛大學國際政策研究所所長。

研究與著作

霍洛威的研究聚焦於核武的國際歷史、蘇聯的科學技術發展與軍備競賽。他的代表作《史達林與原子彈：蘇聯與原子能，1939–1956》（Stalin and the Bomb: The Soviet Union and Atomic Energy, 1939–1956）於1994年由耶魯大學出版社出版，獲《紐約時報書評》選為1994年度11本最佳書籍之一，並贏得美國斯拉夫研究協會頒發的「武奇尼奇獎」（Vucinich Prize）與「舒爾曼獎」（Shulman Prize）。

其他重要著作包括《蘇聯與軍備競賽》（The Soviet Union and the Arms Race，1983年）、與人合著的《雷根戰略防禦倡議：技術、政治與軍控評估》（The Reagan Strategic Defense Initiative: Technical, Political and Arms Control Assessment，1984年）。他亦經常投稿於《原子科學家公報》、《外交事務》等學術刊物。
