His father was Aron Bernstein (1812—1884), a founder of the Reform Judaism Congregation in Berlin 1845; his son was the mathematician Felix Bernstein (1878—1956). Deutsch: Julius Bernstein (* 18. Dezember 1839 in Berlin; † 6. Februar 1917 in Halle (Saale)) war ein deutscher Physiologe. Español: Julius Bernstein (Berlín, 18 de diciembre de 1839 – Halle, 6 de febrero de 1917) fue un fisiólogo alemán. Français : Julius Bernstein (18 décembre 1839 à Halle - 6 février 1917) est un savant allemand, parmi les fondateurs de l'électrophysiologie.
